Principle:
(glutaminase)
(1) L-Glutamine + H₂O → L-glutamate + NH₄⁺

(microbial glutamate dehydrogenase)
(2) NH₄⁺ + 2-Oxoglutarate + NADPH → L-glutamate + NADP⁺ + H₂O
